F, Faulkner Fare

Faulkner   My Goodreads Review

My book chosen for the letter "F" of my alphabet challenge was Faulkner's Light in August. Each year I choose a classic author who I've never read before, Faulkner got the nod this year. But what new can be said about Faulkner?  I confess I decided to leave literary criticism to folks like these. And instead of telling you things like William Faulkner sallied forth from his mother's womb on September 25, 1897 in the beautiful state of Mississippi and he purchased a Greek Revival home when he married, I'll let the biographers and curators fill you in instead. With that in mind, I can't just totally leave things alone, so I decided to test your knowledge of Faulkner trivia by inviting you take the quiz below and solve the word search comprised of Faulkner's novel's characters and words from his life.

If Don Quixote was the man
from La Mancha, is William
Faulkner the Man from
Mississippi?

  3. Currently my favorite Faulkner novel is As I Lay Dying, about a family whose mission is the burial of the family's matriarch.
A short, fun read if you like dark humor and southern literature.
